Joseph holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University. He has extensive experience at Johnson & Johnson and owns Creative Solutions and Development, LLC. Currently, he is Chief Science Officer and Chairman of the Board at Nova PC Labs.
Abigail G. Chaplin earned her BS in Biochemistry with a minor in Professional Selling in 2022 from Susquehanna University. She is Senior Scientist at NPCL, managing customer interactions and training new formulators. Abby also serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors.
Hailey R. Trimmer completed her BS in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Rowan University in 2018. In June 2024, she joined Nova PC Labs as Director of Research and Development and serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors.
Brianna R. LiBrizzi earned her BS in Food Science in 2021 and her MS in Food Microbiology in 2023 from the University of Delaware. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Food Science at Rutgers University. In 2023, she founded Nova Personal Care Labs, Inc., where she serves as President and CFO.

Brianna R. LiBrizzi completed her Bachelor of Science in Food Science with a concentration in Operations and Management in 2021 and obtained a Master of Science in Food Microbiology in 2023 at the University of Delaware. Her thesis was titled “Analysis of a Decontamination Method Using Ultraviolet Light to Inactivate Salmonella on Alfalfa Sprouts”. During the pursuit of her MS, Brianna coauthored two publications (International Journal of Food Microbiology, Volume 384 and Food Control, Volume 151). Currently, Brianna is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy at Rutgers University in Food Science with a focus in Sensory Science. She also plans on obtaining an MBS in Personal Care Science from Rutgers University.
Throughout her studies, she has worked in the personal care industry. At the age of 13, she began working in technical services for her father’s company, Creative Solutions and Development, LLC. Brianna began formulating when she worked for IPS Labs, LLC in 2015. While pursuing her BS at the University of Delaware, she was employed by ACT Solutions Corp, a personal care formulations lab, for two years. After a hiatus from the personal care industry, Brianna desired to reenter the industry and established Nova Personal Care Labs, Inc. in 2023. She currently serves as President and Chief Financial Officer at Nova PC Labs and President of the Board of Directors.

Over the course of the five years, she took increasing responsibilities in team leading, formulation development, training new formulators, and customer interactions. Upon leaving IPS Labs, she started her own consulting business, Cherry Creations LLC, which focused primarily on consulting for raw material companies. Hailey joined Nova PC Labs in June 2024 in the role of Director of Research and Development. In this position, she is responsible for customer management, overall R&D strategy, and overseeing all lab personnel. Hailey also serves as Vice President on the Nova PC Labs Board of Directors.

More recently, he was employed for 14 years with Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products in which he spent seven years managing product development, primarily on Johnson’s Baby, Johnson’s Kids and Aveeno brands and the last seven years directing the Advanced Technologies group charged with long term research to develop novel materials and enhance aesthetics of cosmetic toiletry products. Joseph has been the recipient of a 2000 Grandview Award recognizing the development and market success of Johnson’s Bedtime Bath, two Philip B. Hofmann Awards for Excellence in Science in 2009 and 2012, a Product Stewardship Excellence Award for application of Green Chemistry design in new products, two Standards of Leadership Awards and the Johnson’s Medal in 2011, Johnson & Johnson’s highest recognition of scientific and technical achievement leading to a commercial success, awarded for the development and implementation of hydrophobically-modified polymer (HMP) technology for the next generation of mild cleansing products – Beyond No More Tears®. He remains the only person in Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products history to receive all four major awards: Grandview, Philip B. Hoffman, Stewardship Excellence and Johnson’s Medal.
Joseph is the author or co-author of 34 issued US patents and several more patent applications. Joseph has 8 journal publications to his credit and also serves as a member of the Industrial Advisory Board for Rutgers University Biomedical Engineering Department.

Nova PC Labs is located in a 3000 sq ft facility in Lebanon, New Jersey. We are fully outfitted to do any formulation task, physical stability, and specification development. We currently have four full-time employees and two contractors. The facility has the ability to expand beyond our currency staffing.
